Today was a great day. I woke up to my preselected outfit, hair washed and babe being fed and dressed by my husband. In the car just after 7am, I was on my way to Chadstone for the unveiling of the new retail, dining and entertainment precinct.
Arriving at 8, I inevitably walked in the wrong entrance, but the impact was just the same. Looking straight ahead I saw only good signs with Sephora, Uniqlo and Chanel in front of me. Above, an atrium of epic proportions.
The lines for Mecca Maxima and H&M began shortly after official proceedings and extended throughout the center.
With Montaigne singing live in the background I started to snap and chat to people, most were excited about the opening of new stores in general, or having the biggest Mecca Maxima in the country now at their finger tips. It's so cliche, but I just love seeing people so happy.
My next stop was the Tailor Made Store... a personal shopping activation like no other. After answering a series of questions on an ipad, the curtains of the activation cube parted to reveal a carefully curated selection of products that were put together based on my answers. Think velvet heels, Acne trainers, books that I loved (some that I already owned!!) and a gold and black Gorman skirt that I could have slipped into right then and there.
Impressed? Definitely. Will I be back? Probably tomorrow (I need some new make up from Mecca pre the races on Saturday).
Honestly, Chadstone is definitely a local location with with a world class feeling and Celine hasn't even opened yet. xxx
