EVENT: CUP DAY for Vogue.

On Tuesday I knew I was in for an epic day as I returned to Flemington for day two of the Melbourne Cup Carnival - Melbourne Cup Day.

Arriving early, I was track side by 8:30am and ready to start shooting. The Park, a new fashion precinct for the Myer Fashions on The Fields, L'Oreal make up hub and Yellowglen marquee, was my first destination for the day. Shooting for Yellowglen, I spent a few hours documenting and chatting to the lovely fashion patrons as they drank bubbles and enjoyed the marquee - free for everyone to use.

I then headed back once again to The Birdcage as the fashionably late began to arrive.

Traditionally known to showcase a colourful palette, this years Melbourne Cup fashions saw understated millinery balanced with dresses in a wonderful display of flirty colours, shapes and lengths. Although red was a key colour for the day, I was drawn to the beautiful pinks in many hues and yellows even more so.

My favourite look?... still undecided as I honestly loved so many. Who was your favourite for the day? xxx
