NOT ALL STYLING IS CREATED EQUAL.
When creating content for brands I'm engaged in a few different capacities by the clients.
Sometime we're there from the very beginning, coming up with concepts, submitting proposals full of ideas that we've pulled together to meet that clients needs. Then facilitating a team, executing the shoot and doing everything to ensure the final results are exactly what we were hoping for.
Other times we're brought on once a concept is formed, generally to produce that concept. From art direction on the day to styling and photography, we take our clients original idea and plainly and simple execute it to perfection.
Then the most simple involvement is receiving a brief and call sheet, and rocking up to be the photographer. This takes me back to my humble beginnings, working with other amazing creatives in a collaboration of skills that would produce something beautiful. So much of the direction is determined by the stylists/influencers/models style and they are not always inline with what we're trying to share at Street Smith.
Working with Wittner over the last 2 years has made the process pretty streamline. They know exactly what works for their brand and the boxes they need ticked, so a detailed brief is always supplied and an influencer booked to style the looks and model on the day.
My most recent shoot with them featured here, is with Tessa Jay from Circa Now. With one of my favourite blog names of all times, Circa Now displays a super cute curation of inspiration and personal outfit posts. A dream to work with, Tessa is super lovely and has bronzed limbs all 52 weeks of the year... but the best part of working with her is she knows how to throw together an amazing outfit, often out of the boot of her car.
Effortless and chameleon in her style, Tessa you are one of those girls I could never say no to shooting. Just because I need to see what your wearing next and how you'll pull it all together. xxx
