Last Thursday night as I walked into the newly re-opened GUCCI boutique on Collins St, I could hardly believe that I was still in Melbourne.

At first, I was speechless. Not only was the product colourful, playful, embellished and cool - you know, the usual GUCCI vibe - but the space had been unrecognizably transformed.

High ceilings were held up by white corner pillars. While the walls in between were quilted in pastel pink fabric, adorned with a display of outstretched scarves and finished with chrome studded details. Persian rugs lay over the three shades of marble, while chartreuse lounges and velvet armchairs were placed throughout ready for a fatigued shopper to recline.

At the event as I walked through the sea of colourful fashion folk all dressed in GUCCI... I couldn't help but be saddened by my own all black attire. For the first time, I was truly envious of a top to toe GUCCI ensemble - not because it was GUCCI, but because the people wearing it looked like they were in on a secret and the rest of us were missing out.

Shooting for GUCCI and Vogue these were my favourite pics from the night. x
