PANDORA #DOSeeTheWonderful

Have you ever searched for someone you didn't know was coming, walked up to them as a stranger and asked them why they do the things they do?... it's a weird and wonderful feeling to leave that kind of conversation... one that forces you to stop and feel connected with the people passing you by.

Today I am excited to share a campaign we worked on with Pandora in July this year. Their #DOSeeTheWonderful campaign is a celebration of women and the things we achieve every day. From picking up your favourite coffee to taking some me time, working or going for a run, these small or large aspects of our day are in part, what we live for.

As one of three photographers globally, I spent two days photographing people in Sydney and three days in Hong Kong walking the streets [sometimes 25km per day] in search of capturing these moments to share with you. In each of these locations I met, spoke to, laughed with, and photographed at least fifteen women.

And although I loved every single conversation and person I met... below are eight of my favourite moments included in the campaign. Each image documents what that person was doing at the time and the caption is their own experience and words.

Thank you Pandora, please lets do it again. x

My wonderful moment, and the most amazing indescribable feeling, is approaching a stranger to have a conversation about what makes them unique. Sometimes it's daunting and requires a little self-encouragement, but I always leave that interaction feeling alive.

What do you do that makes your life wonderful?

SYDNEY

"I'm on my way to breakfast. It's a wonderful moment, because it's time I set aside for me. I'm an air hostess and today I have a 14 hour shift where I will be surrounded by people, so this is my time to enjoy a delicious coffee and breakfast by myself." Ibtissam, Sydney 2017.

"I’ve just finished surfing at Bondi Beach. Surfing for me is wonderful as it’s all about the connectivity and empowerment that it brings to myself and the women around me, although there aren’t always a lot of us out on the waves." Devon, Sydney, 2017.

"I'm picking up my morning coffee from Alimentari. I like to come here in the morning because it’s such a small, cheerful community where everyone knows each other. Everyone says hi in the morning which is really important, you don’t get that very often anywhere around the world." Ilkin, Sydney, 2017.

"I'm practicing at One Hot Yoga where I also teach and manage the studio. These are wonderful moments because yoga has brought an indescribable balance to my life. I feel it's really important to practice alongside my students to grow the community and be dedicated to the actual style of yoga that I teach." Janet, Sydney, 2017.

HONG KONG

"Today I’m field dancing in Victoria Park. I joined a ‘field dance’ group about five years ago and we dance every day in the same place for two hours. It’s a wonderful moment as it makes me feel happy and healthy. Dancing makes you forget about your worries, two hours worry free!" Lim, Hong Kong, 2017.

"In this photo I have been to the temple with my friend to pray for love. It’s wonderful because it’s something we can do together and it gives us hope that one day soon we will find it." Kate, Hong Kong, 2017.

"I’ve just arrived at Victoria Park and am about to start my training program. Exercise makes my life wonderful because I enjoy the inner peace when I run. I am always thinking, but running allows me to embrace nature for the moment." Rachel, Hong Kong, 2017.

"Today I’m hanging out talking with friends about how much we love Hong Kong. It’s special because we get to meet so many different people and be around these vibrant places. I’m so grateful I get to live here right now." Mischa, Hong Kong, 2017.
