Photographing NGV VIPs and guests as they experienced the Bark Ladies: Eleven Artists from Yirrkala exhibition - an extraordinary collection of works by female Yolŋu artists from the Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Centre, in north-east Arnhem Land.

This exhibition shares important stories of Yolŋu women, exploring notions of the universe and connectivity of land and sea. This unique worldview is expressed through innovative works that reveal mastery working in the medium of bark.
