Documenting people viewing art furthers contemplation of how notable artworks remain so through continued societal admiration for them and their creators. This speaks to the ongoing connectedness of art and society, and highlights the value individuals continue to place on art. Documenting people in this context provides insight into this cross-section of current culture (trends, social climate, interaction with technology, etc.) as a point of historic reference, and enriches our understanding of the way art is experienced today. Further, this approach highlights the impact of globalisation, which, in the instance of this project, facilitated in-person viewing of a trajectory of works by key artists of the late-nineteenth century in addition to offering valuable insight into the environment and lived experiences of these masters.
